Stick Donuts from Komoda Bakery Maui

This is the ultimate local family owned store on Maui, this bakery has been open since 1916 in Makawao. That is well over 100 years! Visitors and locals flock to scoop up boxes filled with their melt in your mouth cream puffs, stick donuts and turnovers. Remember to social distance as you enter, they have a road map of taped arrows on the floor for their patrons to follow. Start with the hand sanitizer at the door. Don’t overlook the butter rolls, hamburger and hot dog buns, or loaves of bread. Their delicate crumb and slight sweetness are perfect. They have one savory treat, and that is their Ready to Eat Hot Dogs. I never leave the bakery without at least one. A warmed local red dog inside a warm fresh baked bun, already dressed with just enough ketchup, mayo, mustard, and relish for $2.85. They also have fluffy malasadas, danishes, cinnamon snails, amazing chiffon cakes, and incredible crumbly pies.
