STEEL PULSE RESCHEDULED – January 29. NEW DATE APRIL 1. The England roots reggae band Steel Pulse performs on Maui! The band was the first non-Jamaican act to win the Grammy for Best Reggae Album. MARLON WAYANS – January 14. Wayans isn’t just a comedic actor, he’s a stand up comedian, writer, producer, actor, and film director. AHI WRAP: THE CARPORT THEATRE FESTIVAL – January 28-February 13. MAPA returns to the stage with the hilarious three-person show “Ahi Wrap” sharing laughter, crazy antics, and the true meaning of ʻohana. MAUI CHARTER COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARINGS – January 26 & 27. The Charter Commission encourages the public to review and learn about the proposed amendments that have been adopted. Details on the Commission’s decisions are available on the County’s website: Mauicounty.gov/DocumentCenter/Index/5153. A preliminary report detailing all proposed charter amendments will be available to the public in mid-January. The Commission will conduct meetings on January 26 and 27, from 5-9pm on both days, for the public to provide testimony. The Commission has until February 18, 2022 to submit its list of proposed amendments to the County Council for review.
